Kate and Will’s city wedding reflected them perfectly. Great style, amazing colour, a lot of laughs, delicious food and the most outrageously funny flash mob dance routine to top it off.
With their ceremony held in the Hellenic Museum gardens, followed by a reception at Forty Five Downstairs, both in the CBD, this wedding was all style, sophistication and elegance. The perfect modern city wedding. Managed and styled by Judith, the talent behind Toko Events, their day came to life with a warm colour palette that went perfectly with Melbourne’s autumn colours.
This was the first time for me shooting at both of these venues and I must admit, they were the perfect combination. The staff at the Hellenic Museum were so welcoming and genuinely cared that everything went to plan. Forty Five Downstairs was the same, with a stunning multi-level venue that had been transformed to suit Kate + Will’s style.
Kate had told me to keep watch for their little surprise flash mob at the end of the night too, and true to her word, the most epic dance scene unfolded, complete with lobster claws, umbrella-jellyfish and a whole bunch of other characters.
All in all, and incredible day and the perfect autumn wedding in Melbourne.
