When all the stars align, which happens quite often to be honest, you get the chance to shoot a really FUN wedding with really fun people. Ellie and Kobi’s Jewish wedding at the Abbotsford Convent was no exception. Bringing two gorgeous families together, Ellie, Kobi and their gorgeous bridal party threw a celebration to remember. For me, this was the first big Jewish wedding I’d ever photographed, so it was really exciting to be a part of all the traditions that happened throughout the day. My favourite of all? The Horah. A dance floor experience like no other, I managed to throw my camera in the air and capture some shots of 180 people (in rather small space), going crazy dancing for the bride and groom. It was so good.
With a tribe of talented Melbourne vendors being a part of the day, every detail was perfect. From the beautiful gardens at Abbotsford Convent providing the backdrop, to Bursaria Fine Foods catering all was well and good in wedding land. Ellie wore the most stunning gown from French designer Elise Hameau and flowers by Botanics of Melbourne. If you’re in need of any experts to help you on your day, see the full list of vendors at the bottom of this page. With that being said, here’s to many more days of stars aligning and fun being had.
